A Reality Check: How a Challenge Changed My Life*

I love it when people challenge me, not on a bad note, but on a good basis. One challenge that stands out in my mind is when my spiritual father told me he wanted my grades to change souls into the kingdom. Those words struck a chord in me, and I took it personal.

At the time, I was in senior high school, and I didn't get the grades I wanted. But I knew that greater things awaited me ahead. When I got to university, I started engaging in serious academic studies with the mindset that my grades would change someone. And I'm here to tell you that it's very true that grades can change souls.

I studied continuously, and one day, a friend came to me and said, "Chale, you study too much!" It was funny, but I realized that God was taking me somewhere. People started looking for me to do their quizzes, assignments, and teach them. I realized I could use that opportunity to win souls for God.

So, after prayers, I would teach them whatever areas they found difficult, and it worked! This was a result of something I took personal and practiced. There was even a time when I studied for three days continuously, and I was dozing off in a car on my way home. A woman woke me up and told me, "It's well, son."

God has set us apart. Remember, whatever God has put in your heart, do it, and do it with love.
