THE WESTERN SIDE OF LIFE

The western side of life can feel like hell on earth, and I can understand why many children cry when they realize they are born in Africa. It can be a challenging place to live and pursue your dreams. Selfishness seems to prevail, with people prioritizing their own interests without considering the well-being of those around them. The pursuit of money can lead to extreme actions, such as killing one's own brother for financial gain. While money is often considered the root of all evil, poverty is also a debilitating affliction. Sometimes, I wish my great grandparents had sacrificed themselves to slavery so that we could enjoy the benefits today, perhaps living in one of the European countries. However, despite our humble beginnings, we have the resilience to rise from the ashes and strive for a better future. We were born into poverty, but we are determined to create wealth and fulfill our dreams.

REALITY CHECKS  Love Therapy I asked a friend, why do you love a lady and he responded, because she’s beautiful and smart. I taught about it for a while. I asked him again, what if you wake up one morning and her beauty and smartness is no more, what would you do? I found it funny when people tell me they love someone because of their outward appearance or what they can do. Don't  get me wrong, am not saying outward appearance does not matter but it should not be the focus of your relationship or marriage. Don’t make that mistake. When Adam saw Eve,  he said this is the bone of my bone and the flesh of my flesh. You don’t need any reason to love someone or be in a relationship with someone just because they helped you when you needed them most.  Most relationships is base on situations or demand so when one is not getting what he or she is looking for then he backs out. God's love for mankind was not based on any reason but he loves as even in our weaknesses. Many ma...

TAKE THE PRESSURE OFF

TAKE THE PRESSURE OFF Why carry burdens you were never meant to bear? Why lose sleep over things beyond repair? The storms may rise, the winds may roar, But your Father holds the open door. He calms the seas, He knows your name, No struggle faced is faced in vain. So breathe in peace, let worry cease Let faith arise and fear release. Take the pressure off, lift your eyes above, And walk in grace, in strength, in love. You’re not alone, you're held so tight Live a life that's full of light.   BY EMMANUEL ASARE MIREKU

THE BREAKFAST

THIS THING CALLED MARRIAGE  Marriage, not just a union of two people, but a journey of countless seasons, a school with no graduation, only tests, lessons, and silent reflections. Many walk through life, burdened not by failure, Not by loss or death, But by a single decision made in the name of love, Or sometimes, in the name of fear, pressure, or haste. Some wear smiles that do not reach their hearts, Carrying a weight they cannot share, Wishing they could return to yesterday To make a different choice, To wait a little longer, To see a little clearer. But life moves forward. And marriage, once entered, becomes its own world. A world where love must grow into patience, Where passion must mature into understanding, Where commitment must survive disappointment. The young admire the idea of marriage They see the beauty, the glamour, the dream. The old, with stories behind their eyes, Sometimes wish for an exit From the very thing they once chased with joy. This thing called marriage ...
